About Us
West Hill Place has very good links with local health care providers. All residents are therefore registered with a local GP practice and can also be referred to more specialized support services such as sensory, psychology and art therapy teams should it be required. Everyone within the Home receives an individual support plan which is person centred and therefore in accordance with their needs and aspirations. Each person has their own Keyworker who will help to ensure that all support needs are being met.

West Hill Place Inspection Report
West Hill Place provides high quality person centred support for adults who have learning disabilities and associated physical disabilities. The Home is owned by Zebra Care Homes Ltd and is registered with the The Care Quality Commission (CQC). It is situated in the attractive town of Woburn Sands in Bedfordshire and therefore benefits from fantastic local amenities and transport links to places such as Milton Keynes and Bedford .
The Home is staffed by experienced and trained support workers. In general, we have 2 support workers throughout the day and one Waking Night support worker throughout the night. However, the support needs of each resident are determined following a thorough and ongoing assessment process. This means that additional staffing levels will be afforded should it be deemed appropriate.
The Manager is supernumerary to the main staff cover rota and is therefore always available to provide additional support as and when required.
West Hill Place has a safe and secure garden which is well maintained. Ramps have been fitted to all exterior doors to ensure that the garden is accessible to everyone within the Home. We also have a large, well equipped summer house.
Woburn Sands
The name of the town derives from "Woburn", the huge estate of the Dukes of Bedford a couple of miles away, and "Sands" from the Greensand Ridge which rises to the south. Woburn Sands was once the "Hogsty End" of Newport District Rural Council, and grew with the arrival of the railway in 1846. It expanded in the Victorian and Edwardian eras as a country retreat for Londoners seeking relaxation in the reputedly healthy climate with the expansive heath and woodlands on the doorstep. The older part of our town is now a Conservation Area.

Woburn Sands is situated just 6 miles south east of Milton Keynes Centre, 15 miles from the centre of Bedford and 2 miles from the M1, midway between London and Birmingham. It also benefits from excellent road, rail and bus services which means that accessing the wider community is efficient and straightforward.
West Hill Place also has it's own vehicle which is regularly used to access the local and wider communities.
