Our care home is driven by a clear aspiration to provide high‑quality, person‑centred care that truly reflects the individuality, strengths, and ambitions of each resident. West Hill Place Inspection Report
Our home offers a range of high‑quality, modern facilities designed to provide comfort, privacy and independence for every resident. The property features a spacious contemporary lounge and a large kitchen‑diner where people can enjoy shared meals and social time. Each resident has their own personalised bedroom, thoughtfully decorated to reflect individual preferences, and equipped with either an en‑suite or private bathroom for dignity and convenience. Outside, an enclosed private garden with a welcoming summer house provides a safe and relaxing space for leisure and activities. To support full access to the community, we also have a 7‑seater vehicle, enabling residents to participate in outings, appointments and meaningful opportunities beyond the home.
The Home is staffed by a team of experienced, well‑trained support workers who provide consistent, high‑quality care. Our standard staffing model includes two support workers during the day and one Waking Night support worker overnight, ensuring continuous support and oversight. Each resident’s staffing needs are determined through a thorough and ongoing assessment process, meaning additional staff will be allocated whenever required to maintain safety, wellbeing and personalised care.
The Manager is supernumerary to the main rota, allowing them to remain fully available to offer guidance, oversight and hands‑on support whenever needed. This flexible approach ensures that residents benefit from a stable, responsive team capable of adapting to changing needs while maintaining the highest standards of care.
The Home is fully accessible and designed to support residents with a wide range of mobility and health needs. We provide ramps, grab rails and thoughtfully adapted spaces throughout the property to ensure safe, easy movement for everyone. Our living environment is proactively planned and regularly reviewed, allowing us to adjust layouts, equipment and features as residents’ needs change over time. This flexible, forward‑thinking approach ensures the Home remains safe, inclusive and responsive, enabling each person to maintain independence and comfort within a well‑designed, supportive setting.

The Home is situated in a peaceful area within Woburn Sands, close to local shops, parks, community facilities and the nearby golf course, offering residents easy access to a welcoming and vibrant community. The town itself has a rich heritage: its name reflects both the historic Woburn Estate of the Dukes of Bedford, located just a coup
The Home is situated in a peaceful area within Woburn Sands, close to local shops, parks, community facilities and the nearby golf course, offering residents easy access to a welcoming and vibrant community. The town itself has a rich heritage: its name reflects both the historic Woburn Estate of the Dukes of Bedford, located just a couple of miles away, and the Greensand Ridge that rises to the south. Once known as Hogsty End within the Newport District Rural Council, Woburn Sands grew significantly following the arrival of the railway in 1846. During the Victorian and Edwardian eras, it became a popular country retreat for Londoners seeking rest and recuperation in what was regarded as a healthy climate, with expansive heathland and woodlands right on the doorstep. Today, the older part of the town is recognised as a Conservation Area, preserving its character, charm and historical significance for future generations.
